1st Year Geography Students visit Kilkenny

1st Year Geography Students visited Kilkenny along with their teachers Ms Purcell and Ms Coyne. They went to Dunmore Cave which is home to a series of chambers formed over millions of years. The cave contains some of the finest calcite formations found in any Irish cave. It is also a site of a Viking Massacre, Archaeological finds within the cave confirm Viking activity. Hence why it has its haunted reputation. The cave is also home of several species of bats. After the Students took the opportunity to see Kilkenny Castle in the city.
