5th Year Business Students take part in the Bank of Ireland School Bank Programme

May 18, 2016

5th Year Business students took part in The Bank of Ireland School Bank programme this year. This gave students the opportunity to work in the School Bank branch across a variety of roles from Bank Manager to Customer Service Official learning about banking and how to work as an effective team. The Student School Bank team were supported by their teacher Ms Ward and Bank of Ireland staff members from the Trim branch.

The School Bank also provided the opportunity for students to open a bank account and as a reward for opening these, the school was awarded €250.

Students were then invited on a tour of the branch in Trim. The branch tour was a fun and engaging way for students to get a ‘behind the counter’ view of how a bank is run on a day to day basis. They were shown around the different offices of the bank and spoke to different employees about the jobs they do. They were given a small presentation on digital banking, account opening, online banking etc. Students were presented with the cheque and each student received a certificate of participation.

Ms Ward and the students would like to thank Alison Rogers and all the staff at Bank of Ireland Trim for an interesting and educational experience and an enjoyable morning in the bank.
