In January there was a 2 hour workshop with MR O’Connell in an attempt to rewrite the 1916 Proclamation for a new generation. The Proclamation for 2016 emphasises equality, tolerance and the voice of the young person. The workshop was part of the ongoing 1916 centenary celebrations in the school. Our Proclamation like the original has seven signatories: Eoin Sheerin 1C, Matthew Murphy 1A, Shannon Smullen 3B, Chloe Moore 3B, Leah Moloney 3B, Kelly-Anne Doyle 6B and Chloe O’Neill 6B.
