Good Luck to Students involved in Local GAA Finals

October 4, 2018

After the heroics of our past pupils last week with the Longwood Intermediate Football team, attention now turns to our current pupils who will be involved in a number of different county finals over the coming weekend.

Sophie Healy in Leaving Cert is playing for the Na Fianna Intermediate Camogie team in the county final against Kilmessan on Saturday. In the Mens Intermediate Hurling final on Sunday, Kean Flynn represents Na Fianna in their Final against Gael Colmcille. Also on Sunday, the Longwood/Killyon hurlers are in action in the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Final against Trim in Pairc Tailteann. We have a number of pupils involved in this game namely Cian Brennan, Adam McCooey, Harry Smyth, Ronan Comey, Shane Dixon, Quin Fisher, Dennis Darby and Josh Doyle.

We are extremely proud to have so many students involved in all of the above games and we wish them all the best of luck. Hopefully they can complete a clean sweep of wins.

Lastly we would like to wish our Woodwork and DCG teacher Mr. Moore the very best of luck in the Roscommon Senior Hurling final this Sunday. His club Athleague take on perennial Roscommon hurling kingpins Four Roads in the final.
