1st Year History Students visit bog bodies and famous artefacts

Today 1st Year History Students visited the National Museum of Ireland on Kildare Street in Dublin where they were given a guided tour. They got to see the Iron age bog bodies that have been discovered and those from Ballivor got to see one of their own even if he was 2,300 years old! Sophie Kavanagh is pictured with one of the Bog Bodies. Also there they got to see some of our most famous artefacts like the Tara Brooch and the Ardagh Chalice. Grace Cronly is pictured beside the Tara Brooch. Eirinn Leonard and Lais Zilevicius are pictured beside the Ardagh Chalice. The group are pictured outside the Museum. After they visited Dublinia where they were given a guided tour that covered Vikings, Middle Ages and Archaeology. Pictured are some students inside a Viking Home. Finally Owen Scully tries on some chain mail and plays knight to the girls Eirinn and Abbie!
