Congratulations to Ben McLaughlin in 1st Year who took part in the Learnstorm Ireland Finals in Dublin Castle Saturday the 21st of May. It was a great opportunity to work with other Junior Students on challenging activities including building robots, guitars and catapults as well as taking part in many mental mind activities and quizzes throughout the day. As per usual, Ben thrived at all the challenges.
LearnStorm has become one of the most popular maths challenges in the country, as well as abroad, with 30,000 Irish students aged eight-to-16-years-old signing up for the challenge this year.
In Dublin Castle, however, only 200 students were invited to represent their school and county, having earned their stripes online by mastering and persevering with learning maths skills. Ben and his classmates worked very hard during the year on the Khan Academy website. It’s great to see Ben get the recognition he deserves for his hard work.
