Le Chéile is the name of our Autism Unit in Coláiste Clavin. This name represents the ethos of the unit where students, teachers and support staff will work together, and with the whole school community to allow every student achieve their potential. Le Chéile which comprises two units providing educational opportunity for 12 students opens in 2018. The main aims of management and staff of Coláiste Clavin is to nurture and develop a community of life-long learners in a welcoming respectful environment.
We are committed to equipping all of our students with basic life skills, along with the social and academic skills they need to make a successful transition into adulthood. We aim to promote independence and self confidence in a safe, secure and fun learning environment. We intend to inspire each student to thrive, grow and achieve in life.
Le Chéile is a purpose built learning environment that is equipped to includie a kitchen, activity room, a multi-sensory room and garden to help promote and meet the diverse needs of our students.All of our students are at the centre of our community. Together in partnership with parents, teachers and the entire learning community we are working ‘Le Chéile’ to the benefit of all.
