Today was Proclamation Day. Every school in the country was invited to share the results of their Proclamation for a new generation in 2016. All of our Students and Staff gathered outside for the reading of the 1916 Proclamation by Mr O’Connell a History Teacher and then the reading of the new 2016 Proclamation written by seven History Students at an earlier date. History Students involved in the reading of the new Proclamation today were: Chloe Moore, Conor Maher, Katelyn Toner, Ceilidh Tobin, Vicky O’Sullivan, Jordan Casey, Darragh Murphy, Eoin Sheerin, Orlaith O’Reilly and Matthew Murphy. Also we raised our Tricolour as it is now 100 years since the tricolour became our national flag when flown above the GPO during the Easter Rising. Before this our flag was green with a harp.
