A number of our students took part in the “Team Hope Shoebox” appeal this year. Ken O’Donnell a 6th Year Construction is pictured receiving his prize for being a finalist in the ESB National Safety Challenge. His idea was featured in the “Irish Building Magazine”.

Well done to our senior football team who recorded a hard fought win on Wednesday against Beaufort CC of Navan. The game, played on Beaufort’s School pitch, provided testing underfoot conditions for both teams and credit must go to all players for playing out a very entertaing if somewhat low scoring encounter. 5th Year LCVP students and their teacher Ms. McDonagh went to Lagan Cement on Tuesday 13th November. They were given a presentation by Lagan Cement about the company and a tour of the quarry and plant. The students will now type up their Summary Report for the Leaving Certificate based on the trip. Adam Peacock began his entrepreneurial activities back in October when he baked cookies and brownies and sold them at the school Open Night. He used the proceeds from this as seed capital for his new venture of making Christmas logs. These logs are available to order in the school from Adam. They cost €10 each.

One of the 5th Year Geography classes visited Tara Mines in Navan to study for a Physical Leaving Cert question “Human Interaction with the Rock Cycle”
