Colaiste Clavin’s Junior soccer team were victorious in today’s FAI B-Cup match against New Cross College Finglas. The game was played at home on the grounds of Enfield Celtic with a final score of 8:1. The team will go on to the next round after the midterm break. Goal Scorers on the day were: Thomas Hayden

The U14 football team played in a 4 team football blitz last Thursday 18th of October in Dunganny. The winners of the blitz would go on to represent Meath in the North Leinster Competition. Ms Shine and Mr O’Connell’s Higher Level 6th Year English classes went to see a performance of ‘Macbeth’ in the Mill theatre in Dundrum on Friday the 19th of November. The play is currently on the Leaving Cert English Syllabus and a good day was had by all.

To mark “Climate Action Week” the Green Schools Committee held a pledge competition in English and Irish to encourage the school community to think green. Students and staff got involved with an array of thoughtful pledges entered from giving up hair straighteners, using keep cups, ditching using plastic and making efforts to put waste in

The Men’s Shed got up and running in the School on Friday last. Mihai Floriu showcased his carving skills to all present which was a fantastic learning experience.    The Men’s Shed runs in the Woodwork room every Friday from 13:10- 13:30. All welcome

The senior hurlers played Dunboyne Community School on Monday. After a great open and entertaining game of hurling unfortunately our hurlers came up short against a very strong Dunboyne team on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-21. 5th Year Mentors organised fun activities with 1st Years for Positive Mental Health Week. They organised a football tournament, a basketball tournament and a treasure hunt around the school. Great fun was had by all involved.
