Home Economics students were asked to re create this project showing the amount of sugar found is Soft Drinks and Sweet Treats. Both Megan Malone and Molly Bright were instrumental in calculating the quantities of sugar present in these foods. We hope that it will encourage our school community to make healthier snack choices.

As part of Wellbeing Week Hannah Lilly Of ‘The Joy Project’ gave a Talk to 3rd and 6th Years on mental fitness and resilience. She gave them simple techniques to cope with stress and to build their resilience as they go through life.

Students of 2nd and 5th Year Spanish Classes created Posters for St Patrick’s Day through Spanish. Ms Darii also promoted the link between Spain and Ireland throughout history. Pictured are some 2nd Year Spanish Students standing outside the Spanish room with some posters in the background.     

1st Year JCSP Sudents took part in the JCSP initiative “Make a Book” on March 16th in the Ardboyne Hotel in Navan. This involved students making a project and a series of books. The students chose the topic of ‘’Positivity”. The information from each project was then compiled into books/calendars. All of the work was done by

The 2B CSPE Class got to visit the busiest Garda Station in Ireland and while there they learnt about the work of the Gardai inside and outside the Station. They also got to met members of the ASU and learn more about their work and see all their weapons.

As part of Wellbeing week the whole School participated in Drop Everything and Colour (DEAC) which is mindful colouring to help reduce stress. Also students had a “Random Acts Of Kindness” day which involved each person in the school doing one nice thing for another, all students wrote this down and made a presentation for

A talk was given by Graham Mulhern of BeSecureOnline and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th year Students attended their own session. It was organised by HPS as part of Wellbeing Week and covered topics ranging from social media, privacy settings, online bullying and sexting to online profiles and reputation.

Members of the Green School Committee attended the Green Schools Expo on Thursday the 22nd February in the R.D.S. with Ms Shine. The Expo showcased the different themes that Green Schools works with such as litter and waste, energy, water and travel. An enjoyable and informative day was had by all. 

Louise Connolly (5B) represented Coláiste Clavin at an Award Ceremony at the School of Busines  Maynooth University on Tuesday 30th January.  Louise, Jenna McQuaid (5C) and Matthew Healy (5A) won recognition for excellence in their Business Studies in their Junior Certificate Exam.  Each Student received an individual certificate and the Award has pride of place in
