Ms Purcell’s 1A and 1B CSPE Classes visited the Army Camp in the Curragh. They got to learn more about the great work the Army does at home and abroad. 

Saturday morning at 4.15 am a School Team took part in the “Darkness into Light” Walk for Pieta House who deal with both suicide and self-harm prevention. It was a symbolic walk with us starting the walk in darkness and finishing it in the light. Pieta House hopes to help people leave their darkness and bring them into light. It was a great cause and

Ms Evans brought her 5th Year Biology students on an Ecology Trip to the Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo. There they carried out different Ecology Fieldwork Activities.  

The School Drama group are busy preparing for their upcoming production ‘ Plaza Suite’ which looks at the comings and goings of guests in a hotel in New York. The play will take place Friday 19th May at 7pm in Summerhill Community Centre. Tickets are onsale in the school. Please support. 

Well done to Niamh O’Reilly 2nd Year who came 3rd in the Junior Category of the Robert Ballagh LMETB Art Competition. The Awards Ceremony took place in Drogheda Arts Centre.

1st Year Technical Graphics Students have spent the last couple of weeks designing houses on their ipads. Congratulations to Ursula Coffey who won first prize and Mihai Floriu who won second prize. Well done to all!     

2B CSPE Students visited the Irish Aid Centre as part of their Action Project on Development for their Junior Cert  

The 1st Year JCSP students took part in the ‘Make a Book’ Exhibition held in the Heritage hotel in Portlaoise today. Students had to display and talk about their stories that they created under the theme of ‘ twisted fairytales’. The students were presented with Certs and were treated to a captivating performance by storyteller

Today 2nd Year Geography Students visited Mount Lucas Wind Farm. While there they were given first an informative presentation on the Wind Farm, then they had a virtual tour inside a wind turbine using VR headsets and before leaving they went to an actual wind turbine to get up close.
