Home Economics Students carried out a Fashion Project 1st prize : Evan Howell with a Beautiful Presentation on 1950’s Fashion to include Handmade pieces. 2nd prize: Katie Black, Ruth Buckley & Annie Finnegan with a Presentation on Make up. 3rd prize: Luke Crumpton & Dean Cunningham with a Presentation on 1980’s Fashion.
5th Years Students received a talk on Tuesday from AWARE called “Beat the Blues” on managing their mental health. This talk which was rescheduled after the snow from “Wellbeing” week, centred around providing students with practical strategies to cope with stress in their lives.
Colaiste Clavin’s School Drama group are busy preparing for their staging of “Check Please” by Johnathan Rand a Comedy about the trials and tribulations of the dating world. Home Economics students were asked to re create this project showing the amount of sugar found is Soft Drinks and Sweet Treats. Both Megan Malone and Molly Bright were instrumental in calculating the quantities of sugar present in these foods. We hope that it will encourage our school community to make healthier snack choices.
