Colaiste Clavin’s drama group staged their murder mystery ‘Cafe Murder’ by Nathan Hartswick on Thursday evening. It was an enjoyable evening and everyone enjoyed watching students showcasing their acting talents.

Second Year Geography Students visited Dunmore Caves outside Kilkenny City where they saw several dripstones formed by the Process of Carbonation. The caves are also home to several species of bats and it was a site of a Viking massacre. After they went to view the impressive Kilkenny Castle in the city.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting the inspirational Tomi Reichental a holocaust survivor. He spoke to our students about the Holocaust and his experiences at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. 6th Class students from St Nicholas Primary School next door were treated to a preview of our annual school drama. This year our drama is “Cafe Murder” and will be on Thursday 11th April at 7pm in our school hall.

The School is embracing Autism Awareness Week. We are delighted with the progress we have made in understanding and providing educational opportunities for all students within our School Community. Pictured are our wonderful Le Chéile SNAs Jackie, Christine, Karen, Clare and Mary.

Students in the Colaiste Clavin Drama group are busy putting the final touches on their upcoming staging of the murder mystery ‘Cafe Murder’ by Nathan Hartswick. Students will perform the play on April the 11th in Colaiste Clavin at 7pm. 5th Year LCVP students had their Wrap Up session today with Aine Dunne representing Breedon Cement and Petrina Twomey from BITC. The students gave various presentations including mock interviews and were presented with Certificates for participating in the programme.
