Colaiste Clavin’s drama group staged their murder mystery ‘Cafe Murder’ by Nathan Hartswick on Thursday evening. It was an enjoyable evening and everyone enjoyed watching students showcasing their acting talents.

Second Year Geography Students visited Dunmore Caves outside Kilkenny City where they saw several dripstones formed by the Process of Carbonation. The caves are also home to several species of bats and it was a site of a Viking massacre. After they went to view the impressive Kilkenny Castle in the city.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting the inspirational Tomi Reichental a holocaust survivor. He spoke to our students about the Holocaust and his experiences at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. 6th Class students from St Nicholas Primary School next door were treated to a preview of our annual school drama. This year our drama is “Cafe Murder” and will be on Thursday 11th April at 7pm in our school hall.

Students in the Colaiste Clavin Drama group are busy putting the final touches on their upcoming staging of the murder mystery ‘Cafe Murder’ by Nathan Hartswick. Students will perform the play on April the 11th in Colaiste Clavin at 7pm. Tickets are €5 for students and €7 for adults. Tickets are on sale in the School

5th Year LCVP students had their Wrap Up session today with Aine Dunne representing Breedon Cement and Petrina Twomey from BITC. The students gave various presentations including mock interviews and were presented with Certificates for participating in the programme. The U14 hurlers competed in a hurling blitz day recently. We played both Ratoath and Dunboyne on the day and unfortunately the bounce of the ball didn’t go our way but there was some great performances from Donal Stagg, Adam Peacock, Sean Burke, Patrick Jordan, Senan McCooey, Evan Ennis and Patrick McElhinney.

First year JCSP students attended the Make a Book Exhibition in the Ardboyne Hotel in Navan on Friday 22nd of March with Ms. McCoy. They made their first recipe book for the exhibition with Ms. McCoy containing some very tasteful delights and got it printed. They made each of the recipes in their Home Economics class
