Both Leaving Cert Biology Classes went on an Ecology Trip with their teacher Ms Evans to the Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo. Ecology is part of the Leaving Cert Biology Course.

6th Year History Students travelled to Dublin to visit the Collins Barracks Museum and partake in the 1916 Rising Walking Tour. The Walking Tour was greatly received by the Students, bringing the rebellion to life in the Capital. St. Fintinas’ Senior Hurling Team progressed through to the North Leinster Semi-Final after a brilliant win over Athboy Community School in Longwood GAA pitch on a scoreline of 4-12 to 0-11. Ms Murray and Ms Ward accompanied the 2C CSPE Class on a visit to the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin. Students did a tour of the Courts with a Barrister, carried out a Mock Assault Case Trial and attended live Court Sessions in both the District Court and the Central Criminal Court.

Today the Principal presented Shauna Keogh 5B with a special plaque in recognition of her achieving the best Junior Cert Results in her Year Group. Shauna sat the Higher Paper in all her subjects and achieved As and Bs.

Last Friday Ms Purcell’s 6th Year Geography Class carried out their Geographical Investigation (20% of Leaving Cert Geography) on coastal geomorphic processes in Howth Dublin.
